HST Center of M31

Description

This Hubble Space Telescope image centers on the 100-million-solar-mass black hole at the hub of our neighboring spiral galaxy M31, the Andromeda Galaxy. It is one of the few galaxies outside of the Milky Way that is visible to the naked eye. This is the sharpest visible-light image ever made of the nucleus of an external galaxy.
